Meadow Brook Theatre
Detroit theaters are primed to glow with colorful and spirit-filled characters for the upcoming holiday season.
In the interest of full disclosure, I feel compelled to reveal, before critiquing Meadow Brook Theatre’s new production of “Xanadu,” that in 1980, a certain 9-year-old girl – ahem – fell wildly, stupidly in love with the much-maligned movie flop of the same name.
While the entire cast turns in admirable performances, special note must be made of Mary Robin Roth’s portrayal of Angie Drayton, the heart and soul of “Spreading It Around.”
What’s there to do in Detroit in the spring? See a live theater performance, of course. Check out Detroit’s offerings.
Suburban Detroit theaters offer a diverse selection of shows for all ages, interests and entertainment budgets including Who Wants Cake? Theatre, The Jewish Ensemble Theatre Company and more in the full list.
