“We’ve been drafting good and developing good, but we’ve been winning too much,” Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock said. “That’s the facts.”
“It’s the playoffs,” Babcock said . “In the series except for Game 2 and Game, this was 6 tonight, there was no space, period.”
“We went down [to Tampa] and played a really solid game,” Kronwall said after the Game 6 loss. “That’s what we’ve got to do again.”

“I don’t think people really know how much he means to this team,” Kronwall said Monday after the team practiced at Joe Louis Arena.
Babcock suggested grit, not talent, will take the Red Wings further in the playoffs.
“I mean I just watched the guys play, and I just thought that Mrazek would give us the best way to start the series.”
“It’s not going to be easy,” Detroit forward Darren Helm said of the upcoming series against Tampa Bay, “but that’s the fun part of it.”
Howard would not speculate what Babcock’s decision to go with Mrazek for the first game of the playoffs means for his future in Detroit.
