The retired nurse from Detroit who stepped in and stopped the beating of a Clinton Township man following a car accident has finally talked to him–for the first time– since he was released from the hospital.
The Roseville man says he is thankful for the thousands of people who donated money to his recovery and sent words of encouragement.
Prosecutors say the 6 and 12 months punishments are too light and don’t reflect the severity of the beating on Steven Utash.
The beating left Utash in the hospital for six weeks, suffering from severe head injuries.
A close family friend says Utash is having a hard time as he recovers from his injuries …
He’s the second of five suspects to make a deal.
Steven Utash, 54, a tree trimmer from Macomb County was discharged from DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan on Thursday.
The man at the center of a brutal mob beating may finally be leaving a Detroit area hospital this week.
Latrez Cummings — one of four charged in the case — must wear a GPS tether as part of the deal
Steven Utash was nearly beaten to death April 2 when he stopped to check on a 10-year-old boy he’d struck with his pickup truck.
