Northeast Lower Michigan
Verizon Wireless has expanded its network coverage in the Rogers City area of northeast Lower Michigan.
Verizon Wireless said Wednesday that it has completed its $850,000 upgrade of 450 antennas on all of its cell sites between the Saginaw Bay north to the Mackinaw Bridge and east of I-75 to Lake Huron.
Verizon Wireless said Thursday it had activated three new cell sites in northeast Lower Michigan that improve voice and data coverage in the communities of Afton, Cheboygan and Hammond, as well as along several major roads in the area.
