Ferndale has extended free parking through March 25th after complaints about the new pay stations that replaced parking meters earlier this year.
Council decided Monday night to offer free parking in the city until March 11, when Council will reconvene to address the issue again.
It could get loud at the Ferndale City Council Monday night as frustrated residents and business owners sound off over the new parking system.
Changes to Ferndale’s parking system are not going over well with residents or visitors.
“The investigation continues and information will be shared with other departments across the state to determine if these suspects are involved in a number of similar crimes,” Ferndale police said in a press release.

Extended hour enforcement at Detroit parking meters in Downtown and mid-town is in full effect now that notices on the meters have been updated.
