The city’s Downtown Development Authority has approved the bond financing plan for an entertainment district that will include a new 18,000-seat hockey arena for the Detroit Red Wings.
The public could soon find out more information about the proposed arena, as officials with Olympia Development are expected to meet with the Detroit Planning Commission this week.

Employees working in downtown Detroit are looking forward to additional housing, entertainment and shopping options proposed with the new Red Wings arena.
