Roseville Department of Public Works employees interrupted their street clearing duties Monday to dig out a stranded motorist.
Police say Angela Alexie, 24, gave birth in a garage in Eastpointe on Dec. 22 and left the baby. It died two days later, likely from exposure to cold weather.
Bond was set at $1 million for 24-year-old Angela Alexie of Eastpointe.
“Apparently, the dog had gnawed its own foot off in an attempt to escape from this cable that was holding it.”
Police released more details in the case of the infant who was found frozen in a recycling center dumpster.
“The heinousness of it, and the fact that this little child never had a chance will haunt all of us for a very long, long time,” said Roseville Police Chief James Berlin.
Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward in the death of the newborn baby.
