Dow Sales, Earnings Rise

Dow Chemical Co. eported revenue of $14.58 billion for the second quarter ended June 30, up from $14.51 billion a year earier. Due to a massive one-time payment, net income skyrocketed to $2.44 billion or $1.87 a share, up from $740 million or 55 cents a share a year earlier.
