April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse — the two Michigan women who legally challenged the state’s ban on gay marriage — exchanged vows Saturday during the ceremony.
The 31-year-old says he was forced to resign after the bishop’s office received a report he had a same-sex partner.
“I’m open for business,” sayd Mayor Christopher Taylor. “If you’re interested in getting married, please come and let me know!”
The high court’s decision comes 15 months after Friedman ruled the state’s gay-marriage ban was unconstitutional.
Snyder urged Michigan residents to embrace the state’s diversity by treating everyone with respect.

Hundreds are expected to walk down a very long aisle on Sunday in Detroit as part of a mass wedding procession.
Both sides have made their case to the Supreme Court on gay marriage and now it’s up to the justices.
