Authorities are trying to figure out what prompted a possible shootout on Detroit’s west side that left at least one person injured.
Police are searching for at least two men who were apparently involved in a gun battle in northern Detroit.
Officers were called to a home on the west side of Detroit for a felony assault in progress where a woman was found murdered. Officers tracked the suspect to Macy’s Cleaners on Schaefer near Ford Rd. in Dearborn.
Sgt. Eren Stephens told WWJ Newsradio 950 that the incident started around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday evening when four suspects attempted to rob two people.
One officer responded by returning gunshots, as both officers chased after the suspect. The 18-year-old man was then arrested and the weapon was recovered by the officers.
A domestic violence dispute in Detroit ended in a shootout with police on the east side.
