A group of 17 Detroit-area residents are suspected in at least three smash-and-grab jewelry store robberies in Pennsylvania.
Seventeen people from Metro Detroit linked to a string of smash-and-grab robberies of jewelry stores across the U.S. have been charged.
Authorities are searching for the suspects who smashed through the front of a local Walgreens store and made off with the ATM.
The two male suspects placed a chain around the ATM which was located near the door and were able to open the outer casing of the ATM, exposing the safe which contained about $4,000 dollars.
The suspects didn’t leave much evidence behind after smashing through the station’s front glass doors.
Investigators are now trying to determine if there’s any connection between the two crimes.
