The National Weather Service has now confirmed two more tornado touchdowns in northern Michigan — bringing the Labor Day total to four.
“It sounded like a turbo or something — I’d never heard this thing in my life,”
Forecaster Brian Meade said Monday that the tornado was high in the weather service’s EF-1 range.
The tornado was on the ground about 2 minutes with maximum winds of 100 mph.
