The automaker is expanding its powertrain operations in Ann Arbor Township and consolidating vehicle development operations at a new facility in nearby York Township.
Toyota will invest more than $28 million in two Toyota Technical Center research and development locations in Ann Arbor.
The Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor announced Thursday that it will hire approximately 150 engineers, technicians, advanced researchers and scientists by the end of 2012.
The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum recently unveiled “Engineers on a Roll” in its preschool gallery. This exhibit was funded by a $100,000 donation from the Toyota Technical Center, whose engineering team collaborated with the Museum on the exhibit’s design.
