toys r us
With Christmas right around the corner, Toys R Us announced that its stores nationwide will keep their doors open for 88 consecutive hours of shopping.
Many people were shopping for that “it” toy in metro Detroit this weekend.
Toys R Us is betting that 15 toys ranging from a flying, inflatable remote-control fish to tiny collectible monsters will be big hits this season.
Shopping done? Procrastinators are at stores, grabbing discounted clothing and can’t-go-wrong gift cards.
The Christmas shopping season doesn’t kick off for another six weeks, but retailers already are signaling they’re prepared to discount aggressively if needed to entice shoppers still skittish about spending.
