It’s that time of year again, when Volunteers of America runs its outstanding Adopt A Family program to make sure the less fortunate have a good holiday season. And the organization’s big annual fundraiser is right around the corner. “Athletes Adopting Families” will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at the Reserve at Big Rock in Birmingham.
