Wooley’s Weekly Winners
It’s no secret that the Spurs have and have had one of the best coaches to ever grace the sidelines in Gregg Popovich, but they have now went out and hired Becky Hammon, a former six time WNBA player of the year and 15 year veteran that has played for both the New York Liberty and San Antonio Stars.
There were so many winners that I could have picked this week but I felt these three really stood out above the rest.
After the tragic events that took place during the Boston Marathon this week, the New York Yankees showed class.
I went a pitiful 6-7 during week 6 which brings my yearly total to 48-37.
I mentioned last week how it took three weeks to get a solid record for my weekly picks and I seem to have picked up where I left off in week four, posting an 8-5 record last week to bring my total to 42-30!
Hats off to Hoke for standing his ground and setting the bar high for how a player should act at the University of Michigan.
As the first week in August comes to a close that means we’re not only one week into the Summer Olympics and one week away from the Lions first pre-season game, but it’s also time to bring you another set of my weekly winners.
Before the All Star break the Tigers got on a roll by winning five in a row and have since continued that strong play by winning 11 of their last 13 games, pulling them within a half game of Chicago in the Central division.
With the middle of June now here and Father’s day on Sunday, that means another week has passed and it’s time for my weekly winners
