November in Detroit can be a pretty miserable month; it's not quite winter, summer is long gone, the days are shorter, colder and Christmas is still a bit aways. Still, there's nothing like a good concert to pull you out of those pre-winter blues. Here are some of November's top concerts for you, your friends and family to see this year to stave off the long coming of a cold Detroit winter.

For twelve-straight years, Brian Setzer and his incredible orchestra have been performing a rockin' version of some of everyone's favorite Christmas songs during the holiday season. The rockabilly star has been performing alongside top musicians for decades, dating back to the late 1970s and early 1980s, and has been earning a cult fan base ever since. With his Annual Christmas Rocks! Tour, Setzer takes the time honored tradition of performing cover versions of holiday music and gives it his signature rock music twist, accompanied by a full band. One of the world's foremost talents in the competitive world of classical piano performance is coming to Ann Arbor by way of the University Musical Society, a branch of the University of Michigan. Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes will be visiting the musical college town on Friday, Nov. 20 to give classical music fans a considerable treat with a packed setlist of some of history's best composer's top works, including pieces from Beethoven, Debussy, Chopin, and more. There is perhaps no name more famous in Motown and R&B music than that of Detroit's own Stevie Wonder. For the second time, the Saginaw-native will return to Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena and perform his most decorated album, Songs in the Key of Life, in its complete entirety. When he performed this show at the Palace of Auburn Hills last year, fans called it one of the most wonderful experiences of their lives. Now you're getting one final chance to hear the legend himself perform his best album of all time live on stage in the Motor City.

For over a year now, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra has asked Detroiters to send in their sound clips that best represent the city to them, and for the past year, the DSO has been putting together a massive performance of an entirely new and wildly creative new show titled "Symphony in D" that will utilize the sounds shared with them by locals. Mastermind Tod Machover has been hard at work putting his masterpiece together, and DSO conductor, Leonard Slatkin, and the talented musicians of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will bring it all to life in November.

Some of the biggest names in comedy are joining forces for an all-new tour in the same successful spirit of the Redneck Comedy Tour and the Kings of Comedy. This time around, these comics are calling themselves the "Comedy Get Down Tour," and joining in for the Nov. 28 concert at the Joe Louis Arena are some of stand ups biggest stars, including Eddie Griffin, George Lopez, Cedric The Entertainer, D.L. Hughley and everyone's favorite "Chappelle's Show" performer, Charlie Murphy. Tickets are now available at Ticketmaster.com.
