Best Recipes To Celebrate Mexican Independence Day In Detroit

The Independence of Mexico is celebrated on Sept. 16. Some people celebrate with festivities, dancing, parades and making food in the color of the Mexican flag— red, white, and green. Other people go out and celebrate a good meal and drink at a local restaurant. Make sure to schedule a reservation on this day, as restaurants will be very busy. But note, while you are celebrating on this day, it is not to be confused with Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated on May 5m and it celebrates the Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. On Sept. 16, you are celebrating the Independence of Mexico.

Listed below are two well-known Mexican Restaurants that have specific recipes to enjoy- especially on September 16.
