THE DEFENSE

Q: Hi Sara. Thank you for participating in Defend Your Ride Detroit. Great Chevy. What can you tell us about it?

A: I got my car about two years ago from my Uncle Jack. He buys and restores wrecks.

Q: Wow, was it actually a wreck when you got it?

A: It was minor. I saw a photo of it. It really just needed a new hood and bumper.

Q: Lucky. So how many miles did it have on it when you got it? Have you put a lot on since?

A: It had roughly 26,000 miles on it when I got it. I've put about 12,000 miles on it since I got it.

Q: That's not very many miles for two years worth of driving. What is your car's main use?

A: It's mostly transportation. I use it to get to and from school and work. It's more like a taxi.

Q: Does your car have a nickname?

A: No, not really. I haven't given that much thought.

Q: Let's give it a name now. What do you think?

A: I couldn't really pick a name for it. Nothing really comes to mind. Some of my friends call it, The Taxi, so I guess I'd call it that.

Q: I like it, functional and friendly. What do you like best about The Taxi?

A: I'd have to say it's the gas mileage, about 22 miles per gallon in the city, more on the highway.

Q: What do you think your next car will be?

A: My car has such low mileage that it's not even on my mind right now.

Q: Fair enough, but what about an absolute fantasy car, any car in the world?

A: A really old soft-top Jeep Wrangler. You know, the kind without doors or seat belts. That'd be great.

Q: Excellent. Thanks for talking with us today Sara.

A: Thank you!
