What You Need To Know In Entertainment - July 2015

It's the middle of summer and by now, you're probably looking for things to keep the summer fun coming without having to bear the 90 degree temperatures. Lucky for you, there are a few things you can do without breaking a sweat. Check them out below!

MOVIE RELEASES
Arnold Schwarznegger - Terminator: Genisys

Terminator: Genisys (July 1)When he said, "I'll be back," he wasn't joking, and this summer, he keeps his word. Arnold Schwarzenegger (who's been on a role lately) will reprise his role in this summer's guaranteed blockbuster sequel "Terminator:Genysis." Starring alongside "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke, Schwarzenegger will once again become a robot trying to save the humanity from artificially intelligent androids.

Minions (July 10)

Everyones favorite evil minions are making a return to the big screen this month in "Minions," a prequel to the family hit "Despicable Me." Starring Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton and CBS' "Mom" star Allison Janney, "Minions" will tell the story of how the minions came to be and what their story was before meeting Gru. Get the family ready and don't miss out on the fun.

Extant Season 2 with Halle Berry and Jefferey Dean Morgan

Extant (July 1)

Season two of CBS' summer drama "Extant" will be making its premiere at the top of the month, continuing the mysterious story of Molly Woods, played by Academy Award winner Halle Berry. This season, Jeffrey Dean Morgan joins the cast to help Molly when she discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction and that she  may be the only hope for survival.

Masters of Sex (July 12)

CBS' sister network Showtime will debut the third season of its hit show "Masters of Sex" this month, adding former "The Good Wife" star Josh Charles to the cast. Sarah Silverman will also reprise her for as Helen, for a multi-episode arc. Season three of the series is set in 1966 when the famed duo Masters  and Johnson are dealing with the glare of the national spotlight as their sex study is finally unveiled.

The rest of July has plenty in order as well with the premiere of Showtime's "Ray Donovan" and the continuing of other shows like CBS' "Zoo," "Under the Dome," and "Big Brother." And this year, Julie Chen is giving everyone a sneak peek into what the network is offering

Florida Comic-Con 2014

Comic-Con 2015 (July 8)

Comic-Con 2015 is kicking off in July with a slew of new nerd-worthy entertainment and a few non-geeky things as well. This year, you can expect to see the usual news from Marvel and DC's movie universes and some appearances from Hollywood A-Listers. CBS will also be at the event with screenings of new show "Zoo" and panel discussions for hit shows "Scorpion" and "Under the Dome."

Emmy Nominations (July 16)

Emmy nominations are out this month, and with some new surprising shake-ups in categories, this year's announcement could lead to a few gasps and shocked looks. Earlier this year it was revealed that the CW's "Jane the Virgin" and Showtime's "Shameless" would be eligible for comedy nominations, breaking them free of the drama category which is sure to be riddled with top TV shows. One Direction

One Direction: On The Road Again Tour (July 9)

This month, boy band One Direction will start the U.S. leg of their On The Road Again Tour with one less band member. The band has been touring without former member Zayn Malik, but in July, American teenagers will see for themselves what the group dynamic has become since his departure. Even if you're not into the band, you have to admit, seeing what happens to the band after this is at least a little entertaining.
