The New Freddy

The remake of  A Nightmare on Elm Street opened this past weekend starring Jackie Earle Haley (Bad News Bears) as Freddy Krueger. Did anyone see the new version? If you did, is this version better than the original from 1984? Are any re-makes ever better than the original? Rob Zombie's re-make of Halloween was pretty good. Slightly different take on the 1978 original starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Even though the reviews haven't been too favorable so far, I'll still probably see the new Freddy flick. But I'm really looking forward to next week when Ironman 2 opens at a theater near you. C'mon, Scarlett Johansson in a tight super hero outfit?!?!...How bad can it be?
