Second Heat Death Reported

Authorities say the heat wave that pushed Michigan temperatures to 95 degrees has claimed a second life.

Grosse Pointe Farms police say 81-year-old Robert Gall was found on the floor of his home in the Detroit suburb Wednesday.

Lt. Rich Rosati tells the Detroit Free Press the windows were shut with no air conditioning running.

On Sunday, 56-year-old Debra Calzadillas was found dead in Oakland County's

Waterford Township next to the vehicle in which she'd been living.

Temperatures Wednesday hit 95 degrees at Lambertville, Troy and Ypsilanti.

A 64-year-old Detroit woman was charged with child abuse, accused of leaving her 7-year-old grandson alone Tuesday in a parked car with the windows rolled down. He's OK.
