Wixom Plant To House Green Energy Companies
There's still a long road ahead for a green energy corporation hoping to rebuild the closed Ford Wixom Plant.
President and CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation Greg Main said the two companies involved - Clairvoyant Energy and X-treme Power - still need more federal dollars and financial backing for the building's overhaul.
Main said he anticipates things will start moving in the next year.
"The reality is that there is a huge facility here, with millions of square feet - 4.7 million square feet - and so to the extent that we can get this project underway we're going to continue to focus on getting that done, because it really is a wonderful opportunity for Michigan," Main said.
