Car Sales Expected To Show Increase

July car sales numbers, which come out later today, are expected to show an uptick from June, but that comes with a warning.

Analysts at J.D. Power & Associates say the traffic they track in dealerships eased off in the second half of July as the year-end sales that many buyers expected haven't quite appeared yet. Still, July's expected to be the best sales month since last summer when numbers were pushed on by Cash for Clunkers.

Overall, the move out of the recession has been going slower than most economists expected.
