Motor City Tap Fest
It's "taps" for Wayne State University this week. It's the 3rd annual Motor City Tap Fest at Old Main, Thursday through Sunday.
The Motor City Tap Fest is produced by former Radio City Rockette Denise Caston, founder of Motor City Dance Productions, and a native of Clarkston. She says the goal of the organization is to educate aspiring dancers about this uniquely indigenous American art form through master classes, panel discussions and professional concerts.
Caston told WWJ Newsradio 950's Roberta Jasina that people are coming from around the world to take this weekend's tap dancing classes, which will be taught by masters from across the country.
The public is invited.
