Detroit Man Offers Plea In Shooting Of Daughter
A Detroit man has pleaded guilty to a firearm charge in the accidental shooting of his 4-year-old daughter.
In a deal with prosecutors, Shawn Norfleet entered the plea to felony firearm before Wayne County Circuit Judge Annette Berry on Thursday. The charge carries a two-year prison term.
Sentencing is set for Oct. 5.
The 39-year-old also had been charged with domestic violence.
The girl was shot and wounded in the abdomen in June at the family's east-side home.
