Dog Food Recall

Salmonella concerns have triggered a dog food recall. Hartz Mountain is voluntarily recalling 74,000 eight-ounce bags of Naturals Real Beef Treats for Dogs due to concerns that one or bags may have been contaminated.

Symptoms can include fever, nausea and upset stomach in dogs and humans.  You should seek veterinary assistance if you're dog is suffering any symptoms.

So far, there have been no reports of animals or humans becoming ill as a result of the product.  The product was distributed throughout the United States.

Dog owners having purchased this product should check the lot code on their bag, and, if the code is not visible, or if the bag shows lot code BZ0969101E, they should immediately discontinue use of the product and discard it.

For questions or information on obtaining reimbursement for purchased product, call Hartz at 1 (800) 275-1414.
