Snyder Retains Wide Lead In Michigan Governor Poll

Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Snyder continues to hold a wide lead over Democrat Virg Bernero in a new poll.

Snyder was favored by 53 percent of 600 likely Michigan voters in a poll by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA released Wednesday. Twenty-nine percent supported Bernero, and 15 percent were undecided.

The poll was conducted Saturday and Sunday for the Detroit Free Press and TV stations WXYZ, WJRT, WOOD and WILX. It had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

The results closely mirror EPIC-MRA's late August poll, which had Snyder leading Bernero 51 percent to 29 percent.

The election is Nov. 2.
