Where Is Norris Lee?

Where is Norris Lee? It's a question his family desperately wants answered.

There are no tips or any indications that the 86-year-old man may have fallen into the water, but in an effort to be proactive - as one official put it - divers from the Birmingham Fire Dept. have searched Quarton Lake near the downtown area for any sign of Lee.

Lee has been missing since September 3. He was last seen at the Community House in downtown Birmingham, about a half-mile from the lake. But after searching the lake for most of the day Tuesday, divers found no sign of him and the search of the lake has since been called off.

Norris Lee's daughter, meanwhile, tells WWJ Newsradio 950 she believes her dad is still alive. "If he were not, we would have found a body and I believe that somebody is helping him. I know that it is very likely that he is being helped in a shelter or getting food from somebody; either someone who doesn't know he's missing or someone who thinks they're protecting him," Jenny Stinson said.

Norris Lee is 6'3" tall, and weighs 190 pounds. He has white hair and was last seen wearing a tan jacket and blue slacks. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts, is asked to call Birmingham Police at 248-644-3405.
