Weekend Road Work Alert
While the summer season sticks around, so does road construction. Metro Detroiters should watch out for a string of brake lights on several freeways this weekend.
Tie-ups should be expected on several freeways, that are scheduled to be reduced to one lane starting at 8 p.m. Friday: Near Metro Airport on I-94, Eastbound at I-275, and Westbound at Merriman Road through Sunday morning.
In St Clair Shores and Roseville, watch for slow traffic in both directions along I-94, between 8 Mile and I-696 until early Monday.
Also, road work will slow things down in Auburn Hills and Bloomfield Township, along I-75 Southbound between Joslyn Road and Square Lake until Sunday morning.
