Public Forums Come To WSU
Wayne State University will play host to a series of public forums, bringing nationally and internationally recognized speakers to the campus.
The Forum on Contemporary Issues In Society, or "FOCIS," are free to the public.
"It's a great opportunity for Wayne State faculty and students, but really the greater community in Detroit to have exposure to some of the best minds, quite frankly, in the country. And then of course some of the best former leaders of the world," said Irvin Reid, the Director of FOCIS.
"A big part of what FOCIS tries to do is to bring to the public voices that they would not hear under any other circumstances," said Reid.
