Free Leadership Seminar On Monday

Been looking for a job without much success? An event set for Monday just might help.

The event is a free leadership seminar for Oakland County residents sponsored by the Women's Commission for Oakland County, which Chairperson Brenda Savage says will help job seekers "look at personal qualities as well as professional qualities and skills that they may have that they don't recognize."

Savage says some job-seekers may be unknowingly overlooking some of their strengths. Seminar attendees will be taught how to recognize their strengths "as well as to look at how to become influencers, to understand what it takes to become a leader, how do we influence people in our surroundings so that possibly we can change things from the way they are," Savage said.

The seminar will be held at the Oakland County Executive Office Building, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, in Waterford. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and the seminar begins at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

To register or for more information, call Brenda Savage at 248-375-1603 or send her an email at savagebcp@gmail.com.
