"Mow Down" Hunger
Monday is the final day of a special campaign matching donations to Gleaners Community Food Bank dollar-for-dollar.
The campaign is dubbed "Mow Down Hunger in Our Own Backyard" and is sponsored by Weingartz, Michigan's locally owned and operated provider of outdoor power equipment since 1945.
Organizers say the campaign will help people throughout southeast Michigan, including thousands of children who receive free meals at school during the week, but often go hungry on the weekends.
The last day of the campaign is Monday, October 18, 2010.
