Technology Of The Past Comes Alive

Kids growing up in 2010 often have little notion of what technology was like before they were born. For kids who grew up with a cell phone in their pocket, a laptop at school, and an iPad to watch videos on, the notion of the first car, airplane or telephone is truly ancient history.

Way Back, US History for Kids has a website called Technology in 1900, which helps kids think about the development of automobiles, the creation of the telephone, and the first airplanes to take flight. The site even includes predictions made in 1900 about what the future would be like. Check it out here!
