Angel's Night Curfew In Effect

Detroit's Angel's Night curfew is in effect through Halloween night. Exactly what does the curfew mean for kids and parents?

Normal curfew hours for minors between the ages of 15 and 17 are already in effect. They started Thursday night. But, now there's an emergency ordinance that takes effect at 6 p.m. Friday and runs through 6 a.m. Saturday. It repeats through Oct. 31st.

Additionally, also though the 31st, gas stations only may allow fuel to be pumped in approved containers.

The ordinance makes it unlawful for anyone under the age of 18 to be outside in any public street, sidewalk, alley, park, playground, vacant lot, basically, any unsupervised outdoor place. But, that's not it: also included is any arcade, billiard or pool hall, bowling alley, restaurant, theater or place of amusement or entertainment.

Parents of violators could face fines of $50 to $500.
