Michigan's Adventure Says It Had Best Year Evern
The Michigan's Adventure amusement park on the state's west coast had a record-setting 2010. The company that owns the Muskegon-area facility said Thursday the park drew the most visitors in its history during this past season.
The Muskegon Chronicle reports Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. doesn't release specific attendance figures, but that more than half-a-million people visit Michigan's Adventure each summer.
Cedar Fair also announced Thursday that it plans a new water attraction for 2011.
The newspaper says it'll be the first major new attraction in the combination amusement park and waterpark since the ThunderHawk ride was added two years ago.
The new "Beach Party'' attraction is going to be similar to the Splash Zone in Cedar Point's Soak City waterpark.
