Telegraph Lane Closures This Weekend

As construction season winds to a close, there are just a few Southeast Michigan road projects to steer clear of this weekend.  In Oakland County, you may want to avoid northbound Telegraph Road, starting Saturday morning, from 12 Mile to Maple roads.

Telegraph will be reduced to a single lane on the northbound side for construction from 12 Mile to 15 Mile Road, beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday and ending by 7 p.m. Sunday.

The following projects are also scheduled for this weekend:
(Keep in mind that, as always, some of this work may be postponed due to bad weather)

M-8 (Davison Freeway):
In Detroit/Highland Park, while the freeway is now open to traffic, some wrap up work is scheduled. Beginning at 8 a.m. and ending by 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, the right lane of westbound M-8 will be closed from Woodward to M-10; two lanes will be closed on eastbound M-8 from M-10 to I-75; and the ramp from southbound M-10 to eastbound M-8 will be closed. A detour will be posted for the ramp closure.

I-275:
In Oakland County, scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, a ten-minute total closure on northbound and southbound I-275 at Grand River Avenue in order for a utility company to string a wire over the freeway. The closure will be implemented by police.

M-59:
In Oakland County, John R. Road will be closed under M-59 for bridge work beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and ending by 5 a.m on Monday. A detour will be posted for each direction of John R.
