Imlay City Man Killed in Tractor-Van Crash

The family of an Imlay City man is in mourning after he was killed in an accident between a farm tractor and a van.

Lapeer County sheriff's officials say 22-year-old Russell Roszczewski was driving the tractor west on Shaw Road just before 9:00 Sunday morning when 44-year-old Jane Bostian approached him from behind. Bostian allegedly tried to pass Roszczewski as he was turning left into his driveway, hitting him. Roszczewski was thrown from the tractor and pronounced dead at the scene. Bostian was not injured.

The sheriff's department is investigating to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
