Client Wins From November 30

IPS to develop app: Troy-based IPS Technology Services LLC said this week it had signed a contract to develop an application for the global supply chain company ISCS. Israel-based ISCS currently provides supply chain services to its clients by allowing them to store their items in 12 ISCS warehouses. Using the supply chain solution provided by ISCS, clients can manage their inventory, ship out items to desired locations, and track orders and shipments using a Web based system. In the system, ISCS clients can login and see inventory and make necessary changes, place order and track them as well as record shipping information with delivery addresses. In order to run its own operations, ISCS can log in to the current system to monitor client activities. When an order is placed or inventory is changed by its clients, ISCS can see these changes in the system and take appropriate actions. For example, when an order is placed, ISCS records the shipper's name, quantities shipped, and other relevant information in the system. ISCS also constantly updates shipping status information so that the clients can see expected date of delivery to manage their own businesses. In the recent months, ISCS has expanded its business to include other industries and needed a major overhaul of its Access based system and awarded the contract to IPS to develop a Web based system with an SQL server back end. In the process, IPS will also create a new Web site for ISCS. The goal of this system is to create a client order tracking system which ISCS will use to administer its inventories and its clients will be able to keep track of it. IPS will also develop a Quickbooks interface so that invoices could be generated quickly and efficiently for ISCS. IPS provides CIO services, technology consulting, custom application development and integration, health care IT with electronic medical records and practice management implementation, litigation IT including scanning, case management and e-discovery, Web site development and Web-based marketing.
