Oxford Woman Hit By Two Vehicles

An Oxford woman has died after being hit by two cars.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department says 51-year old Karen Reynolds was crossing Lapeer Road south of Market Street around 5:40 p.m. Thursday when she was hit by a van and then a car.

Investigators say the area is unlit and Reynolds was trying to cross in an area that was not a crosswalk.

Reynolds was taken to POH Medical Center in Pontiac where she was pronounced dead.

The drivers of the van and car, a 50-year old from Oxford Township and a 25-year old from Orion Township, were not physically hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
