New Members Named To Snyder Team

A husband and wife team are coming back to Michigan to work in the Snyder administration.

Governor-elect Rick Snyder Monday announced that Sara Wurfel will be his press secretary.  She currently is the director of communications for the AARP Oregon.

Before moving to Oregon in 2004, Wurfel served as the communications director for the Michigan Department of Agriculture under both Governors John Engler and Jennifer Granholm.

Her husband Brad will serve as director of communications for the Department of Environmental Quality.

Brad Wurfel currently works for the Oregon Department of Transportation.

"We are so pleased that Sara and Brad are returning to Michigan to join our administration," Snyder said in a statement.  "We have aggressively sought out talented individuals to join in our efforts to reinvent Michigan and Sara and Brad are two of the best in their field."

Snyder will be sworn in as Michigan's 48th Governor on Saturday.  Live coverage begins around 11:45 a.m. on WWJ Newsradio 950.
