Detroit People Mover Running Again
After a three hour delay, the Detroit People Mover was back up and running Thursday morning.
The Detroit Transportation Corporation Thursday morning announced operations had been postponed at 6:30 a.m., but service was restored just after 9:22 a.m.
"A technical issue was resolved on the guideway following an approximate three-hour delay. Weather conditions were not a factor," a statement from the corporation said.
The People Mover will run through midnight Thursday. Friday it will run from noon to 3:00 a.m. The system will be closed on New Year's Day, but Sunday regular service will begin at 11:00 a.m. to accommodate the Lions home game.
