Niche Retail LLC Names Jeff Grice President: Sylvan Lake-based e-commerce fulfillment provider Niche Retail this week named Jeff Grice as president of the privately held company. In addition to building and advancing Internet strategies of leading brands, Niche Retail backs each partnership with its in-house warehousing and distribution offering, global integration with third-party logistics and fourth-party logistics providers, and dedicated customer care representatives. Founders Brad Sorock and Tyler Smith promoted Grice to the position from his previous role as COO. Grice's background includes extensive experience in digital marketing; retail performance improvement solutions; direct marketing; sales and service certification; training; sales incentives; and safety recall initiatives. An accomplished executive with more than 30 years of marketing experience, Grice served as COO of ClearBlue and Pitney Bowes Marketing Services before joining Niche Retail in 2009. Previously, Grice held senior level technology and marketing communication roles at Wunderman, BBDO and DMB&B, where his focus was on CRM and digital marketing for Lincoln Mercury and Chrysler brands. Cooper Named Director of Clinical Medicine at MPI Research: Mattawan-based MPI Research, the world's largest single-site preclinical contract research organization, announced that Dale M. Cooper, DVM, has joined MPI Research as its director of clinical medicine. Cooper will oversee animal care for the company's three core research divisions: Drug Safety Evaluation, Discovery Services, and Bioanalytical/Analytical Services. Cooper, a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine, brings a broad scope of veterinary clinical medical experience to MPI Research. Most recently, he was the director of laboratory animal medicine, quality and technical services for North America for Harlan Laboratories Inc. Prior to that, he was a principal research scientist with Eli Lilly. Cooper also has experience in consulting and community veterinary medicine as well as academia. He received his DVM from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is widely published in the animal husbandry literature.
