ATV Rider Killed In Early Morning Accident

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an ATV rider, who crashed into a fence and flipped several times-the  passenger on the ATV escaped the accident without injury, Saturday morning in  Dexter Township. 

Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office and other emergency response units, responded to Riker Road near Orchard Ridge, in Dexter Twp., for an unknown traffic crash involving an ATV.

It was discovered that an ATV was traveling off-road parallel to Riker Road with a group of other riders. The ATV struck a fence and overturned several times.

The driver, a 23-year-old male Dexter resident, was transported to the University of Michigan Hospital and died of his injuries.

A passenger on the ATV, a 22-year-old male Dexter resident, was not injured in the crash.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Traffic Division is currently investigating the crash.
