Riverview Woman Accused Of Embezzlement

A Riverview woman has been charged with embezzling money from the high school's booster club.

39-year old Shelie Anne Gendron faces up to ten years in jail if convicted, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's office.

Gendron is accused of embezzling over $14,000 dollars while she was the treasurer of the Riverview Community High School Booster Club for the varsity football team.  The alleged theft occurred between April and November 2010. 

Gendron was arraigned Thursday afternoon in 27th District Court on a charge of embezzlement from a non-profit organization.  She is due back in court February 24th.
