Full Spectrum President Nevins Named 2010 Small Business Person of the Year: Michael Nevins, president and CEO of Jackson-based Full Spectrum Solutions Inc.. was presented with the 2010 Small Business Person of the Year Award by the Jackson Chamber of Commerce at its 102nd Annual Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 20. The Chamber's annual meeting is where select businesses are recognized for the positive impression they have made within the community. The Small Business Person of the Year award highlights the role of small businesses in the community and across the nation. The recipient of the award was determined through a two-step judging process that examined company history, growth, business philosophy, community outreach, and overall influence within the community. A committee comprised of 16 other business peers evaluated the nominations and forwarded what they deemed the best to a financial committee that selected the winner. Full Spectrum Solutions was established in 1997 and launched its first products, EverLast Induction Lighting, in 2004. Today the company manufactures energy-efficient lighting for  residential, commercial and industrial applications.
