SBIR, STTR Proposal Workshops coming: BBCetc and UMMS Business Development are working together to bring the Michigan entrepreneurial community a workshop on preparing winning federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer grant proposals with a focus on the National Institutes of Health. The event will take place Thursday, Feb. 10 and Friday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the University of Michigan North Campus Research Center, 2800 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor. The cost is $125 for companies based in Michigan and $250 for those based elswhere. Presented at this two-day intensive workshop will be SBIR/STTR eligibility, SBIR/STTR program details, strategic planning, nuts and bolts of writing a fundable proposal, SBIR/STTR review process, preparing a commercialization plan and steps to submit a proposal electronically. Life science focused and technology-based entrepreneurs and small companies seeking funding for R&D with plans to submit a SBIR/STTR proposal within the next 12 months should attend.
