Rapist Of Senior Citizen And Other Woman, Faces Sentencing

DETROIT (WWJ) A Detroit man accused of multiple rapes more than a year ago on the city's east side has agreed to a plea bargain Monday  in Wayne County Circuit Court. 

WWJ Newsradio 950's Greg Bowman from Circuit Court reports that 23-year-old Kenneth Lofton was facing the possibility of two life sentences for the rapes of an 84-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman in January 2010.   

Lofton has pleaded no contest to multiple charges that should keep him from spending the rest of his life behind bars.

When Lofton faces the judge February 22,  he is expected to be sentenced to two 15 to 30 year sentences, to be served concurrently.

Updating the trail of a man who police have called the "east side rapist" for an alleged series of gunpoint sex assaults in January,Raynard Coleman is awaiting trial in Wayne County Circuit Court. Coleman could face up to six life sentences if he's found guilty.
