Compuware To Host First Recruiting Event In Five Years

Compuware Corp. will have its first recruiting open house in five years Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Compuware headquarters, One Campus Martius in Detroit.

Compuware is currently looking to fill more than 100 permanent, full-time openings.

Mary Johnson, technical recruiting manager for the Detroit-based software and IT services giant, said most of the hires are "new headcount" made necessary by the company's growth.

Compuware is seeking Java developers and architects, project managers, program directors, business analysts, QA analysts and staff with skills in health care informatics.

Compuware's Global Delivery, Professional Services, Technology and Covisint business units will be represented at the event, which brings together Compuware recruiters and business analysts in what the company calls a "no pressure, no hassle" atmosphere.

Johnson said it's the first such open house since 2006 for Compuware.

Those interested in attending should send an e-mail with their resume to openhouse@compuware.com. After review of qualifications, recruiting representative will contact job seekers to confirm their request for registration.

Compuware media relations director Bill McGraw said Compuware currently had 4,329 employees in 85 offices worldwide, 1,882 of them in Detroit.

"Things are definitely heating up, especially here in Michigan," Johnson said. "We know the talent is here in Michigan and it is a competitive environment. We hope this event will make people think about what Compuware offers, especially if they haven't thought about Compuware lately, especially the career path and longevity they can have here."
