Argument Over Pot Leads To Stabbing

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - An argument over marijuana leaves a 25-year-old man with multiple stab wounds in Royal Oak.

Royal Oak Police were called to the scene of  reported domestic violence on Thursday at a home on Houstonia.

Police arrived to find that 24-year-old Karlla Mann, had stabbed her boyfriend during an argument over marijuana. Her boyfriend, a Livonia resident, left the scene before officers arrived.

The boyfriend was found in Southfield and transported to Providence Hospital for treatment. Currently, he is in stable condition. He suffered multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and back.

Mann has been charged assault with intent to commit great bodily harm (10 year felony) and felonious assault (4 year felony). Mann was arraigned on Friday in front of the honorable Judge Terrance Brennan from the 44th District Court.

The preliminary exam conference has been scheduled for March 4, 2011 at 9:00 am.
